Annual Railway Festival

Since the year 2000 "Banitis Festival" has been celebrated on the first Saturday of September every year and draws a large number of visitors. During these events trains, running on the line, are decorated and different entertainments - shows, performances, open-air dances - take place at the stations. An integral part of the festival is the Stameriena Fair.

Saint Martin's Day

The event takes place on Saturday before the Saint Martin's Day, according to Latvian folk tradition in the open air at some of stations. Saint Martin's Day train, running on the line, is decorated and appropriate attractions are also held at the station chosen for event.

Christmas Event

Families, especially with small children, want to spend their Christmas day outside in the forest at the big Banitis Christmas-tree, decorated by Snow-white. Everything takes place there as it should on this day. Meeting with Santa-long awaited by all children - who comes together with his dwarfs and gifts, sometimes in a rather unexpected way - on the railway using a hand trolley.
