Company SIA "Gulbene - Aluksne banitis" is created by Railwaymen Society of Latvia, Town Council of Gulbene, Parish Council of Stameriena, Town Council of Aluksne and six private person in 20 of February 2001. Company is registered by Enterprise Register in 20th of April, 2001 (No 000354276). The main documentation is put in order during short period. Company has received Railway Operation Licence and Safety Certificate. Company has the contract with State Stock Company "Latvijas Dzelzcels" for usage of railway infrastructure as well as for leasing of narrow gauge railway rolling stock and facilities. Company also has the contract with Ministry of Transport for passenger traffic on the railway. A new private company began operation on the railway since 3rd of January 2002. Since 2009 Toms Altbergs is appointed as member of board of SIA "Gulbene - Aluksne banitis".
