Book "The Vidzeme Railway"

The book tells about the history, preservation and revival of the narrow gauge railway Gulbene - Aluksne which was constructed in 1903. Several chapters of the book are devoted to rolling stock, railway tracks, bridges and signalling as well as maintenance and train services.

In addition the reader will find information on natural and historical sites in vicinity of the railway line as well as on tourist attractions and festivities on this Latvia's only heritage railway.

The book is richly illustrated with historical and contemporary pictures and contains maps, plans, tables and copies of documents.
